Article 17 - Reporting under Habitats Directive i The interest group contains different types of information processed by the EEA-ETC/BD from data on the conservation status of habitats and species of Community Interest. Chemicals Inventory i IG for the Chemicals Inventory Project
DIS-MED i Communication and exchange of documents within the participants in the DIS-MED project for the development of an information system to support the implementation of the UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification) in the Mediterranean region.
ECRINS – EEA hydrographic data set i 'ECRINS' is acronym for European catchments and RIvers network System. it is a fully connected system of watersheds, rivers, lakes, monororing stations, dams made from the JRC CCM2.1 and many other sources. Compared to CCM, ECRINS offers a smaller number (138,000 instead of >2,000,000) of elementary catchments which average size is 92km2. Only the main drainage system, nevertheless comprissing ~1,4 million km of rivers has been kept. The IG is organised in four folders. the "hydrography" provides the current and archived layers of ECRINS, the "documentation" provides the construction, coding and data models, "Ancillary data" provides computed data (e.g. Corine LC per elementary catchment) and "WISE data" the publicly available data sets reproted under the WFD and which end host is normally ECRINS. When updated data sets (e.g. lakes and dams, river naming, etc.) become avaiable, they will be added in the adequate folder.

EIONET Air and Climate Change i

This interest group is for sharing documents and data (including drafts for review) with Eionet stakeholders, especially stakeholders involved in issues relating to air and climate change.

EIONET Biological Diversity i Interest Group dedicated to ensure exchanges of information between topic team and national or international bodies.
EIONET Energy and Environment i This interest group provides information on the on-going EEA energy and environment work. It contains meeting documents as well as reports and fact sheets for review. Furthermore, it aims at improving the consistency of the use and analysis of energy and environment data within the EEA.
EIONET Information Management and Telecommunications i Management of data, information, and knowledge for EIONET using information society technologies. This interest group contains only working material that should be treated as inofficial drafts.

NRC Maritime (maritime and coastal information systems) i Latest revision of EIONET National Reference Centre (NRC) networks, approved by the Management Board through written procedure in July 2009, envisages the creation of a separate NRC Maritime. The network profile - description of the skills and expertise of the experts in this NRC are under preparation. The EEA/EIONET meeting in Trieste on 18-19 November 2009 served to shape the scope and work content.
